This MacBook Air is a 2017 model number A1466. The 13 inch display was showing some odd distortion that, while usable, made it difficult to be productive on the computer. The client contacted me and asked if the issue was likely the LCD panel or something else, at which I answered it was almost certainly the LCD Panel itself!
As you can see in the pictures below there is distortion on the display before the repair. I have seen this issue a few times on this 13″ MacBook Air model, so I was very confident in the LCD panel being the cause of the problem.
Once the LCD replacement was complete you can see the display worked properly again. The client was pleased to get their computer back working fully again so they didn’t have to buy another machine to work on.
