Different than usual LCD panel issue on MacBook Air

A really common issue with these MacBook Air screens is a vertical or horizontal bar of discoloration. When they are horizontal they are almost always caused by cracking along the left side of the screen under the bezel. When they are vertical they are usually caused by the ribbon cable coming loose from the LCD panel. Both issues require a replacement LCD panel to repair the issue.

In this case though instead of just a horizontal or vertical bar, it is a combination! And not only that, the coloring of the display is not working properly which makes a rather visually pleasing piece of art. A lot of people comment on how the cracked displays could be art, but in this case it really is pretty cool!

The issue on this one did seem to be a combination of a couple LCD problems, but the fix was the same; replacing the LCD panel made the display work like new.

This client was pleased to get their MacBook Air repaired for less then half of what they were quoted at other shops. By replacing just the problem piece (the LCD panel in this case), you can save a lot of money.
