Purple and Blue Spots on MacBook Air Screen

This computer showed up with colorful blue, purple and black marks across the screen. This type of splotchy, ink-like, image on the display is a common sign of a broken LCD panel.

The LCD was cracked across the middle of the display. Strange colors and black portions of the screen on a MacBook may look cool, but they’re not very helpful for using the laptop! With a new LCD panel in place (there’s no need for glass replacement on a MacBook Air), this computer has lost its unique colorful markings, and looks just like new.

Because there was not a major hit with an impact point, the chance of having a white spot after repair was basically zero. This was a straight forward LCD replacement scenario without the need for replacing any other parts.
